Who is a Food Flavourist?
A food flavourist, or flavour chemist, creates flavours for food and edible items using natural and artificial methods. They possess in-depth knowledge of essential oils, chemicals and aromas, and work in test kitchens to develop new flavours. They play a critical role in making food appetising and compliant with government standards.
Skills Required for a Food Flavourist

Eligibility and Education
To become a food flavourist, one should have at least a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry or Biochemistry, with industry experience. Knowledge of food technology is advantageous.
